Speaker Biography

Helen Rooney BSc (Hons) CVN, Cert Ed, Dip AVN (Medical), Cert VNECC, RVN

Helen qualified in 1996 and developed an interest in medical and critical nursing almost immediately. After working as a ward nurse at Rutland House she became the Senior Ward Manager there before leaving to pursue a lecturing career, spending many years at Myerscough College and rising to a Senior Lecturer position. In 2016, Helen left teaching to be the Head Nurse at Vets Now’s flagship hospital in Manchester. Helen joined the PBB team in 2019 as the Training & Induction Manager and also continues to work in a clinical support role for the Vets Now hospitals.
