An Introduction to CPR and the Emergency Kit for Donor Assistants
Introduction
The following short course explains the basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the very unlikely event that a donor should suffer a cardiac arrest at a session.
This has never happened and there is no reason it should, but this is the sort of situation where you need to act quickly and decisively to save a life.
The first lesson provides a brief overview of the theory of CPR and the techniques for artificial respiration and cardiac compressions.
The second lesson shows how the emergency equipment would be used during resuscitation.
