The following course will cover Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) SOP.TES.04.06

The purpose of SOP.TES.04.06 is to explain the process used to prevent the sale and issue of blood products subject to various blood tests until results have been authorised.

Restrictions for this SOP:

  • May only be carried out unsupervised by PBB staff who have been trained in this procedure
  • Release or failure of units in quarantine may only be authorised by the Veterinary Supervisor or an authorised veterinary surgeon using INF/TES/14
  • No food or drink may be stored or consumed within the designated clean area.
