Speaker Biography

 

Brigitte Wilkens

Brigitte graduated from the Free University of Berlin in 2002. After 2 years working in a busy small animal practice, Brigitte started an internship in small animal medicine at the School of Veterinary Medicine, Hanover University. This was followed by a residency in internal medicine, which she completed in 2009. In collaboration with the Institute of Immunology at Hanover University, Brigitte worked on her doctoral thesis on platelet-neutrophil aggregation. Following her residency training, she moved to the UK and worked in two referral practices in the South, before joining IDEXX in 2013 as an internal medicine consultant.  Brigitte also continues her clinical work in practice part time.
